How is the sand delivered?

Deliveries are made to the kerb-side, and we are only able to deliver to a flat concrete area with good access. We deliver with a tail lift offload and a pallet pump truck. We do not deliver using a hiab or crane. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

How much sand do i need?

As a guide, one bulk bag will cover an area of approximately 30 square meters to a depth of 25mm (1 inch). If in doubt, please consult our Online Sand Calculator, or call us and we'll be happy to help.

Do I have to use play sand for children's play area?

Yes. Play sand is designed to be safe for children, and is washed to be free of sharp edges and contamination. Other sands are not considered to be safe. Always buy play sand to specification BS EN 1177:2008.

Do you deliver on Saturdays?

Yes, you can have your order delivered on Saturday. However, Saturday delivery has a surcharge so some customers select other days which have lower or no charges at all.

Does the price include delivery and VAT?

Yes, the price quoted is the all inclusive delivered price. However, some options such as delivery on specific days and times might add to this. A summary is shown to you before you make payment so you can choose what is best for you.

Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?

We can arrange for the delivery to be left without a signature, although we would need prior notice.

Can I pick a delivery day?

In the checkout section of the website you can choose your delivery day from the calendar. Some delivery days may include a surcharge but we always try to ensure that at least a couple of days a week don’t have any additional surcharges.

Do you deliver to where I live?

We cover the entire mainland UK, however our delivery lorry will need space to access your road & requires a flat, hard surface to lower the pallet on to. If you think delivery could be an issue for a full sized lorry - get in touch with the team to arrange a smaller wagon delivery on 01695 422 144

Will I receive an invoice or receipt?

Once your order has been placed you should receive a confirmation within a few minutes. This confirmation e-mail will act as your invoice and receipt.

How much notice do I need to give for delivery?

As long as your order is received before 2pm we can offer a next-day delivery service.

What do I do with the pallet?

Our haulage company do not collect the pallet used for delivery, so we ask that you think of the environment when you dispose of your pallet. Your council or a local business may be able to advise on this.
